SHOEMAKERS ‘BACK TO SCHOOL’ POSTER DESIGN COMPETITION 2018

 

By entering the “BACK TO SCHOOL” Poster Design Competition, you are agreeing to the following terms and conditions:

1. STANDARD TERMS

1.1 Information on how to enter forms part of the terms of entry.

2. WHO CAN ENTER?

2.1 Subject to clause 2.2, entry is open to all residence in Australia.

2.2 Employees and their immediate families of Shoemakers Wholesale and their associated agencies and companies are not eligible to enter.

3. ENTRY ELIGIBILITY

3.1 The competition commences on Monday 16 April 2018 at 00.01 (AEDT) and closes on 30 Ocotber 2018 at 11:59 (AEDT) inclusive (“Competition Period”). Last submission of artwork closes at 11.59 (AEDT) on 30 October 2018.

3.2 Entrants do not need to make any purchases in-store or online.  

3.3 Entrants may submit no more than 2 artwork entries.

3.4 Entries that are incomplete, incorrect or illegible will be deemed invalid.

4. PRIZES

4.1 There will be three (3) winners; 1st Prize as the winning design, 2nd prize and 3rd prize.

4.2 The total prize pool is valued at up to AUD$550.00 and is made of the below winning combinations:

           1st Prize Winner (Winning Design): AUD$300 cash prize + $100 footwear vouchers

           2nd Prize: $100 footwear vouchers

           3rd Prize: $50 footwear voucher

4.3 All taxes (excluding GST) which may be payable as a consequence of receiving a prize is the sole responsibility of the winner. The Promoter shall not be liable for any loss, damage or injury suffered (even if caused by negligence) as a result of accepting and/or using a prize, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law.

4.4 The winners are responsible for all other expenses, including all costs associated with collection of the prize from Shoemakers Wholesale.

4.5 Winners will be contacted via e-mail to make arrangements for their prize to be awarded.

4.6 In participating in the competition, the winners agree to participate and co-operate as required in all editorial activities relating to the Competition, including but not limited to being interviewed, photographed and use of name on social media promotions. The winners (and their companions) agree to grant the promoter a perpetual and non-exclusive license to use such footage and photographs in all media worldwide and the winners (and their companions) will not be entitled to any fee for such use.

4.7 Entrants may enter more than once, but can only win once. We reserve the right to withdraw a prize if there are no eligible entrants to receive that prize.

4.8 Entrants in the competition is open to all years of age at the time of the Competition Period

4.9 Voucher prizes or any unused portion of a prize, cannot be transferred, exchanged or redeemed for cash. All other expenses associated with the prizes are the responsibility of the winners.

4.10 Winners should seek independent financial advice about any tax implications that may arise from the prize winnings.

4.11 Should the random draw not be eligible to win the next drawn participant may win the prize subject to verification of their entry.

4.12 Winners have 14 days from the date of the draw to claim their prize. Any prizes not claimed by this time will be forfeited.

5. DECISIONS ARE FINAL

5.1 The promoter’s decision is final and the promoter will not enter into correspondence regarding the result. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for late, lost or misdirected entries or other communications. Entries will be deemed void if illegitimate, forged, manipulated or tampered with in any way.

6. NO LIABILITY

6.1 In the case of the intervention of any outside act, agent or event which prevents or significantly hinders the Promoter’s ability to proceed with the Competition on the dates and in the manner described in these terms and conditions, including but not limited to vandalism, power failures, tempests, natural disasters, acts of God, civil unrest, strike, war, act of terrorism, the Promoter may in its absolute discretion cancel the Competition and recommence it from the start on the same conditions, subject to state government legislation.

6.2 Shoemakers Wholesale with their associated agencies and companies will take no responsibility for prizes damaged, lost in transit, late or misdirected.

6.3 Shoemakers Wholesale with their associated agencies and companies will not be liable for any misadventure, accident, injury, loss (including but not limited to consequential loss), death or claim that may occur:

a) During entry or judging;

b) In the participation or use of any element(s) of the prize;

c) As a consequence of late, lost or misdirected mail;

d) Due to the broadcast of any program relating to the Competition or the publication of any material, including any statements made by any compere, staff member, journalist, other entrants or any other person;

e) In relation to failure of an email or mail entry message to be received by the Promoter on account of technical problems or traffic congestion; or

f) Arising from or related to any problem or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines or internet communications network related to or resulting from participation in this Competition.

6.4 Shoemakers Wholesale assumes no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to, or alteration of entries, and reserves the right to take any action that may be available, subject to state government legislation.

6.5 If for any reason the Competition is not capable of running as planned, due to causes including but not limited to tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures or any other causes beyond the control of the Promoter which corrupt or affect the administration security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the Competition, the Promoter reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process, take any action that may be available, and to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Competition, subject to state government legislation.

7. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS

7.1 Entrants of the “Back To School” poster design competition that will be rewarded or receive honorary prize declare that they do not maintain any intellectual property rights on the creations that they have submitted.

7.2 The Promoter may reuse the entire artwork submitted by entrants mentioned above or part of it, freely for any purpose and in any way, unchanged or modified at its own discretion.

7.3 Entrants in the competition automatically implies the acceptance of terms of the present notice of contest.

8. PROMOTER’S DETAILS

8.1 The promoter is Shoemakers Wholesale  (ABN 51 005 598 336) of 146 – 148 Balcombe Road, Mentone, Victoria, 3194.
